Mudumulai – Jungle Retreat frogs
Just rediscovered some AudioBoos I did whilst walking in the sunset in Mudumulai near Ooty, Southern India. I wandered into the paddy fields and stood in the middle of a vast expanse of green and just listened to the sounds of all the animals including several hundreds if not thousands of frogs… check it out. It’s unreal.

Leaving Goa: sleeper to Mumbai
Our final week in india was spent in Goa : what a different place it is to the rest of India. Strangely empty of people (it’s low season as it’s very very hot), quiet, Christian(!), and so laid back; everything happens at a much slower pace. We left in 1st AC 3 tier which is basically normal sleeper class with three beds; 2 tier is 2 beds on each side and more expensive. After 11 weeks of slumming it we finally went aircon and boy was it good – apart from the gaping ft wide hole in the wall by my head as I slept and the couple complaining about their fold out bed to the attendent as if it very nearly killed the them. Twats.
To remedy the hole problem I hung my newly acquired jacket I bought in Delhi over it. Oh simple solutions!
Goa, Assagao – Candy the house dog after her heat busting trim…
The thing about Candy was she loved being loved. So much so she’d come lie her head on your lap for hours I permitted. Her guardian Vish anticipated the summer monsoons to be of great distress to her in terms of heat and humidity so he gave her a haircut; or what actually amounted to some sort of prison haircut where you’re not allowed any scissors and the only thing you can use is a spoon. Poor Candy.
